Very nice pub with outdoor seating next to river. Had roast chicken which comes served with gravy in a separate jug. Good size portions.

Loved our visit to the Black Rabbit! We had such a great time at The Black Rabbit. The food was amazing, everything we ordered was spot on, and the brownie was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The nourish bowl was great and the harissa chicken. The service really was brilliant, quick and efficient. Everyone was super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Multiple staff wished my friend a happy birthday [as per my request because she hates that], they all came one by one throughout the meal and it was so funny. The location is just stunning. It’s just a lovely place all around. We’ll definitely be back, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone in the area.

We made a last minute decision to stop somewhere to eat on the way back from Southampton. So glad we did, the welcome was warm. Service was lovely & views were amazing a gorgeous country pub with a great menu choice, & the food was delicious. I have stopped here once before & I wanted to show my family this beautiful pub on the river - this is now my most favourite place to go to eat. Thank you to Viera & the team. We will be back again soon.

Lovely setting, lots of seating options, was able to sit right on the river front. Attentive staff, lovely menu, fast service. Priced well. Definitely will come again.

Excellent attention to detail and service from India who made a big fuss of our black Lab and other customer dogs. India showed exemplary and friendly service which was greatly appreciated. Sun was shining, food great, fab friendly & speedy service, fantastic historic pub by the Arun river. Perfect.

Amazing food, great atmosphere. One of my favourite places to go out. Either for just drinks or food every time we had a good experience.

Pub next to the river Arun near Arundel,West Sussex. The pub has lovely outdoor seating areas right next to the river with views across the countryside and also to the very impressive Arundel Castle. There are also covered dining areas outside with a considerable amount of tables. Inside the pub has an old world feel and again has a lot of seating. The menu offers something for everyone including some small plate items. Their chips were very good, nice and chunky and fluffy inside, I also had a bowl of onion rings and some garlic bread. Mains include steaks, fish and chips,Sri Lankan curry, fish pie,Harissa chicken and more. Prices are moderate with fish and chips at 18.95 , burger 17.95 to sirloin steak on the bone at 34.95. There are sandwich options available at lunchtime. Healthy and vegetarian options are also available. There is plenty of free parking, just use the pad inside the pub to enter your car reg. I found the staff polite and friendly and service was fast, my small plate order arrived in about 10 minutes at a time when the pub was quite busy.

Beautiful location with fantastic food and friendly service. Stunning scenery, varied menu and everything was delicious. Would prefer if they accepted American Express, but considering how remote and busy it is already, I understand why they don’t.
